What is Namaste Yoga?
Namaste is a friendly greeting between people, it is used often as spoken out but it can be written as well. Here are few of the interpretations experts have connected with the term:
“A reverential salutation to you.
I bow to you.
The spirit in me meets the spirit in you.
I honor the place in you which is of love, truth, light, and peace.
I salute the light of God in you.
I behold God within you.
I bow to the divine in you.
I recognize that we are all equal.
The entire universe resides within you.
Namaste Yoga
Namaste yoga is done by placing the hands together at the heart chakra with eyes closed and the head bowed. It is also done by placing the hand in front of the third eye, with head bowed but the hands are still brought down to the heart. Doing this provides a symbol of great respect.
The Significance of Namaste Yoga
Namaste Yoga pose indicate our trust that a celestial spark resides in our heart chakra. The gesture acknowledges the soul in one by the soul in another. In yoga, the Namaste gesture is performed at both the beginning and the end of the class. The teacher uses the Namaste Yoga gesture as an expression of gratitude for his/her students.
